Artist Statement

My practice focuses on the mental and physical identity of a being. My aim is to explore how influential the environment can be, affecting the human condition. My area of concern is about the insecurities and self-concept of one’s social identity. One’s mental being often taps into the subconscious mindset first before any physical effects would arise. The concept focuses on the play of seeing and the (in)ability to view the text through the exploration of material used in the creation of text, that eventually beyond the performative act, I am able to unveil the deepest thoughts within the viewers' subconscious mind.
